Free pitch range test
Measure the pitch range of your speaking voice
Record a short sample or upload audio to measure how far your pitch moves while you speak, in semitones. Get your free voice report to see how your range fits into your full voice profile and what to practice next.
Measure your pitch range
Read a few sentences aloud for 15–30 seconds. A range needs more speech than an average does.

What the pitch range test reads
This is a speaking range, not a singing range. It does not ask you for your lowest and highest note; it measures how far your pitch actually travels while you talk, reported in semitones so that a low voice and a high voice can be compared on the same scale. The reading is the spread around your average pitch rather than your two most extreme moments, because the extremes of read speech are usually a creaky last syllable rather than a pitch anyone speaks at.
How to influence pitch range
Range widens with intent rather than with effort. Read one sentence flat on purpose, then read it again as if you were telling it to someone who cares about the answer, and compare the two recordings. Marking the stressed word in each phrase and letting the pitch move on that word is usually enough; pushing the voice to its limits is not what a wider speaking range is made of.
